Please look around your gardens and see what you can enter. If you are a first timer just put in one or two entries. There’s plenty of time for staging entries, from 8.30 to 11.30am, and one of the ‘old hands’ will always offer help. Don’t forget there is also the non-competitive craft section in the Spring show, if you would like to display something please contact one of the committee members beforehand so that Pam can allow sufficient space for the exhibits. And a reminder for the men – you are permitted to enter the floral art and domestic classes!

THE 2008 SUMMER SHOW
A break with tradition this year as we held the Summer Show instead of the usual monthly June meeting, There were 30 classes to choose from. The a new trophy for roses in memory of our late President - The Charles Edwards Trophy for the winner of Class 9 was awarded for the first time. Members (including exhibitors) voted for the entries by ticking the card in front of each entry. This was well supported by members who usually come to the monthly meeting and all agreed was a successful event even though Sue's sweet peas were not flowering in time.
