Useful Information for Members

Local Gardening Clubs

Our Committee liaises with other local gardening groups, as listed below, in order to bring added benefits to each group’s members. We exchange details of each group’s meetings and shows, and take part in occasional joint events (e,g. quizzes), which the participating clubs host in rotation.

The most regular event is a competition for the Inter-Village Cup, which is awarded by judging of special classes at a local autumn show.

Details of other groups’ activities are displayed on our Notice Board at our meetings, and included in our regular Newsletters to all members. We also publicise other events such as Open Gardens. Please let us know of any horticultural events that would be of interest to members.

Chalk Gardeners’ Club

ONE FREE entry to one Chalk meeting on production of this Programme (where no additional fee is charged for their own members). Shows are for Chalk's members only, but visitors are welcome (for a small entry fee).

Meopham Garden Association

Normal visitor fee for their meetings. Our members can enter specific classes in Meopham’s shows (entry fees apply).

Ightham & District Gardeners’ Club

FREE entry to Ightham’s meetings on production of this Programme (where no additional fee is charged for their own members). Our members can enter Ightham’s shows (entry fees apply).

Southfleet Gardeners’ Society

We exchange programmes and advertise events. Our members can enter Southfleet’s shows (entry fees apply).

Stansted & Fairseat Horticultural Society (SFHS)

We exchange programmes and advertise events. Our members can enter SFHS shows (entry fees apply). Our members are welcome on SFHS coach trips but priority is given to SFHS’s own members.
